COVID-19: ITTF donates to Asoba Foundation

 
The gesture which was aimed at supporting the young talents and their families in the wake of the global pandemic included bottles of liquid Soap and hand sanitizer, tissue paper, gloves, cooking oil and bags of rice. 
 
These items which amounts to €1,200 Euros, were presented to the various families at their respective residence by Ishmael Abraham Armah, ,the vice president of the project ‘SMASH COVID-19 AWAY’ and also the CEO of  NK Foundation.
 
In his remarks, Mr  Armah recounted the hardship conditions posed by the global pandemic and how it has affected all sporting activities including table tennis.
 
"Asoba and NK Foundations in collaboration with ITTF, presented these items to help ease the difficulties this pandemic has brought to the families."  Mr Armah posed.
 
He stressed on the need to keep the youngsters safe in this difficult time by constantly practicing the safety protocols outlined by government and the World Health Organisation (WHO). 
 
Mr Charles Tachie-Menson, Executive member of Ghana Table Tennis Association (GTTA) appealed to all and sundry to support the good works of Asoba and NK Foundations to continue to reach out to more kids and families in distress. 
 
 However. a table tennis enthusiast, Mr Divine Nkrumah, adviced the kids to take their education seriously since table tennis and academics go hand in hand. He pleaded with their parents to encourage their kids to play table tennis because of the enormous benefits derived from playing table tennis. 
 
For her part, coach of Asoba Foundation, Dora Sarpong appealed to all Ghanaians to help put up a structure for the kids but was grateful for the support received so far from the benevolent in society.
 
Asoba Foundation has over sixty cadet players including national female cadet champion Emmanuella Yaa Kyere.
