Tagoe to stop Mzonke tonight

Fighter Emmanuel Gameboy Tagoe has vowed to kayo South African veteran Mzonke Fana in the third round in their IBO world title bout scheduled for today at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra.

Tagoe, 29, said the bout would be the turning point in his life and would not let the nation down.

"I have come a long way, I know the nation is behind me and everybody want me to win, I promise I shall deliver", the James Town native who has a record of 28 bouts and a loss told a packed noisy crowd at the arena during the weigh in yesterday.

The boxer weighed 65 pounds , a little below his opponent who took the scale to 67.

The South African opponent, who appeared ever ready to fight,  laughed off his opponents claims.

He vowed to cause a shocker on the night.

The 43-year-old journeyman who has fought 48 times and lost 10times is hopeful he will take the title away from the Ghanaian.

" I would defeat him, I didn't come here to joke," he stated.

The night will also witness a plethora of entertainers led by dancehall artist, Stonebuoy, king Jerry, carmelion, who will entertain the crowd before the main bout.

Four undercard belts will be decided on the night .

Obodai Said versus Ibrahim Tagoe, for the  WBO African Middlewight bout Felix Williams against Taofik Bisuga from Nigeria for the Interntational featherweight title and Michael Pappoe faces off with Edward  Kambasi in a featherweight contest.

Another Nigerian Olanrewwju will fight Tanzanian Pascal Ndomba for the International Cruiserweight contest.
