T.B. Joshua ‘delivers’ Powers
It is now abundantly clear that the April 18, cruiserweight bout between Braimah Kamoko a.k.a. Bukom Banku and his arch rival, Michael Nii Ayitey Powers, is no more limited to the physical might of the boxers, as both of them have resorted to consulting their respective ‘Spiritual Fathers’ to give them the much-needed spiritual upliftment and fortification ahead of the clash scheduled for the Accra Sports Stadium.

Powers made it public several weeks ago that his Spiritual Father was Nigerian prophet, T.B. Joshua, who had assured him of an outright victory over his challenger. And to make sure that prophesy was fulfilled, the boxer last Sunday visited Prophet Joshua’s Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Nigeria to fellowship with the congregation.
Powers’ pursuit of greater anointing was prominently played up when he came face to face with Wiseman Christopher, one of Prophet Joshua’s spiritual lieutenants at the SCOAN, who cast out the demon he claimed had thwarted boxer’s progress and success in winning higher laurels in his career.
Initially, when Wiseman Christopher lifted his hands to pray for Powers, the demon manifested itself through violent reaction by the boxer until he was subdued by the holy spirit which sent him sprawling on the floor.
Before then, the demon in Ayitey Powers was heard saying, “This boy calls himself Ayitey Powers, I destroyed him.
“Why are you worrying me like that?. Let me go, he is a good boxer. I want to spoil his career”.
After the demon was cast out, the boxer declared, Thank you Jesus, I am free, thank you for my deliverance, I am free forever.”
While Powers sought spiritual upliftment in Nigeria, his charismatic opponent and pre-fight favourite Kamoko, a muslim, reportedly headed to the residence of the National Chief Imam, Sheihk Dr Nuhu Sharabutu, for prayers.
