The items to be presented to some gyms in the Ashanti Region included a comprehensive boxing manual for coaches, quality boxing gloves and headgears.
Ambassador Quarcoo said the gesture formed part of the federation’s quest to spread its tentacles as it scouted for talents across the nation to form a formidable national side.
He said: “This forms part of the federation’s long- term planning for scouting, as well as developing talents across the nation. The days when boxing was limited to Accra are over. It will be the turn of another region the next time.”
Mr Saka Acquaye, ARSD officer, who received the items on behalf of the region, said the gesture would go a long way to help the region organise a boxing league next year.
