The soft-spoken Tagoe, whose last fight was a victory against American Gerardo Robles in August last year, has promised to knock out his opponent on the night.

The Bukom fighter has also been boosted by his manager-turned-coach, Black Stars skipper Asmoah Gyan, who will be in his corner to cheer him on.

“I will stop Sadiki in the early rounds, so I want fans to come early and witness the spectacle”, he stated at the last press briefing announcing the bout.

Tagoe, whose ring record stands at 22 wins (with nine knockouts) and one loss (22-1, 9 KOs), is hoping a resounding victory against his opponent on Friday will be a mjor stepping stone to a world title shot.

His Tanzania opponent, meanwhile, has cautioned the Ghanaian to hasten slowly for he would be in for the shock of his life.

Arriving a fortnight ago at the Kotoka International Airport, Momba, noted that although it was going to be an ardious task to beat his Ghanaian opponent, he was in to cause a shock and create a spectacle on the night.

The bout, put together by Asamoah Gyan’s Baby Jet promotions,  has as undercards, Michael Ansah battling Ishmael Aryee in an eliminator for the national super featherweight tile, and  Michael Pappoe locking horns with Abraham Osei Bonsu for the national super featherweight crown.

In other bouts, Prosper Ankrah tussles with Kenyan, Nick Otieno, in a CBC bantamweight final eliminator, Raymond Commey clashes with Tanzanian, Fadhill Majiha, in a CBS super-bantamweight eliminator, while Nigerian, Felix Williams, engages Razak Nettey in a featherweight contest.
