Ghana Premier League side Berekum Chelsea are locked in talks with their former player Edward Kpodo as they seek to bring him back to their fold ahead of the 2020/2021 season.
Kpodo, 30, ended his two-year stint with Armenian outfit, Urartu, this summer and he is currently available as a free agent.
Graphic Sports Online understands that he has been contacted by the management of Chelsea and talks have reached an advanced stage for his possible return to the Golden City Park.
The towering defender was part of the Berekum Chelsea team which won the Ghana Premier League in 2011 and also reached the CAF Champions League Group stage.
He moved to Russian outfit Khimki in 2013 and subsequently also played for Armenian clubs Ulisses, Gandzasar, Shirak, Banants, and Urartu FC
