Black Stars goalkeeper, Lawrence Ati Zigi, is leaving no stone unturned in the upcoming friendly gamed and believes with some determination they could have a great game.
Speaking to the communication bureau of the Ghana Football Association (GFA), the 23-year-old Swiss-based goalkeeper said they need to focus and remain united which was the only way to guarantee victory.
“It’s an important game for us and we have to focus on this game, take everything serious, stay together and we will have a great game”, he stated.
The St Gallen shot stopper was of the opinion that the even though the players that have been assembled for the game were from different clubs their depth of quality was unquestionable which would make the upcoming friendly an interesting encounter.
“It’s actually a different group of players. Here, there are totally different players from different clubs so it’s not really the same compared to my club. But seeing the quality of players we have here, I think we going to a have a great game and a great time here”, Ati Zigi said.
He described his call up to the national set up as a great opportunity for which he must utilize noting that with hard work and determination the future looked bright.
“It’s a great opportunity for me. I just have to stay focused and work hard and hopefully everything is going to be fine and we see the way forward”.
He described his first day at training as intense especially having been exhausted from his travel the previous day but felt the training was impactful.
“It was a little bit intense because I travelled yesterday and I came at dawn, so it was exhausting but, a very good training”, the St. Gallen shot stopper said.
