In the interim, the retired sports director would take care of the day-to-day running of affairs at the secretariat awaiting the appointment of a few CEO to take over from George Amoako.

He described the club as a big one that belong to the Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II but expressed disappointment in the facilities at the office which, he reckons, does not befit the status of a CEO.

“Kotoko as we see it outside is a big club and it belongs to Otumfuo so everybody knows it’s a big club but coming into the office today, I have to confess I am a little bit disappointed. The office is not ready to accommodate the chief executive as of now.

“His office is as hot as anything so I have to sit in the conference room, the staffs are telling me most of the machines they are using are not in good shape and they are not serviceable so I have requested that they put all these request so I’ll forward it to the board for us to acquire new machines to run the club.

“We are in a modern world, it’s not like the old time that they use the typo, we have to go high tech so we need all these things so I’ll recommend and request the board to assist in acquiring all these things for the running of the office”, he said.

Since George Amoako was relieved of his duties as the CEO of the club, the board which was recently constituted by the owner of the club, Otumfuo Osei Tutut II, was yet to appoint a new CEO with several names being speculated including ex-Ashgold CEO Fred Acheampong.

The five member board are Joseph Yaw Adu who will serve as the chairman, Evelyn Nsiah-Asare, Kofi Amoa-Abban, Kwamena Mensah and Martin Kwaku Brobbey.
