2021 AFCON qualifiers likely to be completed in November

With just four rounds of games left for countries to join hosts Cameroun in Africa's biggest soccer fiesta, a top official of the Confederation of African Football has revealed that the qualifiers would soon return and end in November.

“We have four qualifiers left which can be played in the next three international windows,” CAF's acting General Secretary, AbdelMounaim Bah, said.
"With two games per window we can conclude the qualifying process by November.”

Ghana are currently on top of Group C in the qualifiers with two wins from two games, having defeated South Africa 2-0 at the Cape Coast Stadium and a 1-0 win away to Sao Tome.

Coach Charles Akonnor's Black Stars will host the Sudan in their next encounter when the qualifiers finally resumes.
