Germany to host Queens July 22

Ghana's Black Queens will travel to Paderbon, Germany, to play an international friendly with the Germany national team on July 22.

The international friendly is part of the Germans’ preparation for next month’s Olympic Games.

Though the Queens do not have any assignment until the December African Women’s Championship (AWC) in Cameroun, Coach Yusif Basigi considers the international friendly an important game which will enhance his team’s preparations.

Consequently, he has invited 25 players to camp at Prampram for one week to prepare for the trip.

The invited players include goalkeepers Patricia Mantey (Immigration Ladies), Nana Ama Asantewaa (Police Ladies), Fafali Dumehisi (Police Ladies).

Defenders: Hillia Kobblah (Hasaacas), Cynthia Adobea (Prisons), Rosemary Ampem (Immigration), Edem Atovor (LadyStrikers), Regina Antwi (Hasaacas), Belinda Anane (Fabulous Ladies) and Rita Darko (Hasaacas Ladies).

Midfielders: Rebecca Asante (Prisons), Mercy Myles (Prisons), Mary Essiful (Soccer Intellectuals), Grace Asare (Prisons) and Priscilla Saahene. 

Forwards: Alice Kusi (Fabulous), Priscilla Otchere (Fabulous), Wasila Diwura Soale (Hasaacas), Princella Adubea (Ampem Darkoa), Alberta Asante (Police Ladies), Faiza Ibrahim (Police Ladies) and Veronica Appiah (Hasaacas).

The rest are: Elizabeth Addo (Ferenvvaros, Serbia), Sandra Owusu-Ansah (Fabulous), and Rahama Alhassan (Northern Ladies).
