Woman grabbed for registering twice

He said for now the suspect had been detained for investigations to commence.

Meanwhile, a tour of the polling stations in the Effutu Constituency showed that voting had been generally peaceful and orderly.

At all the polling stations visited,  voters were seen standing in queues waiting for their turns to cast their ballots.

Although the voting delayed a bit in some areas, it went on smoothly, allaying the apprehension some people had about the process.

The polling stations visited were the Fire Service Centres ‘A’ and ‘B’, Ghana Highways Authority Centre, the Simpa Hall Block A and B at the

University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Presby Primary School and the M/A Primary School.

The other polling centres were: Social Welfare, Ghartey Hall of the UEW, Wesley Hall A and B, Brew’s House, Alata Kokwado; Chief Idan’s

House; Old Flamingo, Penkye;  Tufuhene’s House ‘A’ and ‘B’, Sekegyano/Susubiribi, 31st Women Workshop, CYO Catholic Centre 1A and 1B and the AME Zion Conference 1A.

At the Fire Service Centre A, 120 of the 597 registered voters had cast their ballots as of 10.30 a.m.

At Centre B, 202 of the 598 registered voters had cast their ballots at 10.33 a.m.

At the Simpa Hall A and B, a total of 407 out of the total of 1406 had voted as of 10.40 a.m.
