Why Akwatia NDC primary has been postponed

Elections in the National Democratic Congress primary in the Akwatia constituency of the Eastern region has been deferred following what has been described as "security reasons", reports George Folley Graphic.

According to Mr. Francis Annor Dompreh, the NDC regional deputy secretary, the violatile nature of the elections could result in chaos hence the postponment. The constituency election is being contested by the incumbent MP, Baba Jamal and a businessman, Mr Basil Ahiable.
