Weija MP elect grateful

The newly elected Member of Parliament for the Weija Constituency in the Greater Accra Region, Mrs Rosemond Abrah, has  expressed gratitude to her constituents for voting her into office.

She pointed out that she could not have won without the support of many of her constituents, who she said worked tirelessly to help her secure victory.
Mrs Abrah, who stood on the ticket of the NPP, polled 32,861 votes to win the election. Her closest competitor,  NDC candidate,  polled 26,899 votes.

Speaking to graphic.com.gh, Mrs Abrah said she was not surprised at the outcome of the election because she had worked very hard for victory.
"Thanks to all my supporters. I also thank all NPP supporters for their support”, she said.

Mrs Abrah pledged to help implement policies that would help improve the lives of her constituents once she was sworn in as parliamentarian.
She also pledged to bring development to the Weija constituency.
