Upper Manya Krobo, Birim North DCEs get nod

The District Chief Executive for Upper Manya Krobo, Mr Joseph Tetteh Angmor, has retained his position.

Mr Angmor, who for the past four years has administered the district and was re-nominated by the President, secured 47 out of the 48 votes cast to confirm his post at Asesewa, the district capital on July 9, 2013

Mr Angmor,  pledged to continue with the assembly’s development agenda aimed at providing every community, especially the rural ones, with the basic social amenities.

Mr Angmor, therefore, called on the assembly members who voted for his retention for support.

He expressed his appreciation to the President for the confidence reposed in him and also thanked the assembly members and called on them to put aside their differences for the speedy development of the area.

Earlier, the Eastern Regional Minister, Mrs Hellen Adwoa Ntoso, noted that the good works of Mr Angmor demanded his retention and asked the assembly members to vote massively for him.

The MP for the area, Mr Jeff Tetteh Kavianu, as well as the Presiding Member of the assembly, Mr Joseph Kodjo Nomoh, also threw in their lot with Mr Angmor by soliciting support from the assembly members to enable him to carry the day.

In a similar development the same day, Mr Paul Aboagye Dadzie, who was nominated for the position of DCE for the Birim North District, was also confirmed when all the 38 assembly members voted for him at New Abirem, the district capital.
