Food vendors set up their posts three days to the event with late comers scrambling for any available space.

All the typical Ghanaian delicacies are available while all kinds of drinks ranging from soft to hard liquor are on sale.

Thousands of party faithful who have thronged the venue for the campaign launch were seen busily availing themselves of the variety of dishes.

One food vendor who identified herself as Ewurama told the Daily Graphic that she booked her place over a week ago and ensured that her children took turns sleeping close to the stadium in order to safeguard the "strategic position" she had selected.

One other activity that is significant is the sale of party paraphernalia with keen competition between the various sales persons who rush towards incoming patrons in the attempt to outsmart each other.

A vendor of alcoholic beverages, Kojo Amu said that as at 9:30am, he had exhausted his supply of alcoholic drinks and had to call for more.

For him, "today is a business day and I am ready to take full advantage of it".

He expressed the wish that everyday would "be like today".
