Stop destroying our posters - Dr Abu Sakara tells opponents

The 2012 Presidential Candidate of the Convention People’s Party, Dr Abu Sakara, has warned against deliberate attempt by some political parties to erode the visibility of the party.

According to Dr Sakara, some unscrupulous people have been going round destroying his presidential poster as well as that of the Parliamentary Candidates and the CPP party posters in some regions.

Dr Sakara also expressed worry about constant attacks on its members who had decided to carry out the good message of the CPP to the electorate for them to make an informed decision when they go to the polls to vote on December 7.

Dr Sakara cited an incident in the Volta Region during his recent visit where one of the CPP supporters was attacked on his normal errands to campaign.

He is, however, calling on the Ghana Police Service to beef up their patrols in the various regions as means of curbing some of these unfortunate incidents.

I want to urge all CPP supporters to continue to drum the good message to Ghanaians to bring back the CPP to govern in order to complete the unfinished agenda of our forefathers.

Politics is not about fighting one another. It is about sharing ideas, and those people must get right, he stated.

In another development, Dr Sakara said Ghanaians would teach the New Patriotic Party and the National Democratic Congress a lesson by voting the CPP into office.

Dr Sakara said this would be a surprise to the two leading political parties which have dominated the political scenes for the past twenty years.

He said these when he worshipped with members of the International Charismatic Church in Accra last Sunday to thank God for his continues blessings to him ahead of the December elections. Dr Sakara, who was accompanied by his wife and some National Executives as well as some members of his campaign team, was grateful to God for opening the heart of people to listen to the message of the Convention People’s Party.

On the issue of Peace, Dr Sakara stated that it was a prerequisite for development. You cannot have development when you don’t have peace. We must never disturb the peace of this country. But peace is contingent on justice; where there is injustice you will often find trouble: that means people who are not law abiding, where the rule of law does not exist, where somebody wants to have more than their fair share at the expense of another - those are the things that cause the disturbance of the peace.
