Relegate partisanship to the background -Yeboah tells assembly members

The District Chief Executive (DCE) for Atwima Mponua in Ashanti Region, Mr Stephen Yeboah, has advised assembly members to relegate partisan considerations to the background in the discharge of their mandate.

He said assembly members must relegate party affiliations to the background when they met to discuss issues that were relevant to their area's development.

Mr Yeboah made the call after all the 52 assembly members voted to confirm his nomination in an election conducted and supervised by the Deputy Ashanti Regional Electoral Officer, Mr Lawrence Sarpong.

The 39-year-old, who is a teacher by profession, holds a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management and Bachelor of Education in Social Studies. He stressed that assembly members should not allow their party affiliation to take precedence over the development of their electoral areas.

Mr Yeboah gave the assurance that he would work with all assembly members, heads of departments, traditional authorities and other stakeholders to promote the rapid growth of the area.

He pledged, “My doors are always open and I will be pleased to listen and seek views and advice,”stressing that with concerted effort, they could overcome all obstacles.

Mr Yeboah commended members of the assembly for the confidence reposed in him and assured them that he would justify it by working in close collaboration with them to come out with a meaningful development strategy for the district.
