A flag bearer aspirant of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) Prof. Joshua Alabi has successfully rounded up the first phase of his Upper East Regional campaign tour, with delegates thrilled about his vision for the party when voted to become a flag bearer.

In all, he held meetings with delegates in the Chiana-Paga, Navrongo Central, Bongo, Pusiga, Garu, Tempane, Bawku Central, Binduri, Zebilla, Nabdam and the Bolgatanta East constituencies.

The branch and constituency executive members were elated with Prof. Alabi's message of properly resourcing the base of the party by creating fixed deposit accounts for all constituencies to take care of party activities when he became leader of the NDC.

More engagements

Prof. Alabi intends to continue his engagement with the rank and file of the party across the country to reinvigorate the base of the party, having gathered first-hand information on the peculiar challenges in the various branches and constituencies.

That, he said, would enable him to devise workable solutions to fix the challenges and also take advantage of opportunities present in those constituencies to increase the electoral fortunes of the NDC.

He expressed gratitude to the delegates in the Upper East Region for the warm reception and their overwhelming pledge to elect him as the flag bearer for the 2020 general election.
