While congratulating Muslims, the PPP also called on Muslims to help make the nation capable, great and strong.

On the occasion of the celebration of Eid ul-Fitr, the party further called on Muslims to join in the national crusade for peace and unity as we wait for the Supreme Court to deliver its ruling on the ongoing presidential election petition.

Joining Muslims in their joyous celebrations, the PPP in a signed statement by Mr Kofi Asamoah-Siaw, National Secretary, recalled that about a year ago, the PPP, joined “our Muslim brothers and sisters to celebrate  the fasting period in the 9th month of Ramadan.

The party seized the opportunity to urge our Muslim brothers and sisters to continue to pray for peace and unity in the country especially as we approached the December 2012 elections. We are happy to note the enormous contributions made by the Muslim community to the sustenance of the peace and unity of our country Ghana in the election year.

To our brothers and sisters we say your peace efforts are not yet over, the statement concluded.
