Opposition parties are pretending - Prez

The enthusiastic NDC supporters and chiefs stayed late into the night to receive the President and listen to his message.

Enthused by the patience of the people, President Mahama thanked them for their patience and love for him and the NDC.

The President said the refusal of the opposition parties to recognise the good work of the NDC government was because they wanted to paint a bad picture of the economy to deceive Ghanaians into voting for them.

He said the opposition believed that if they continued to tell lies about the state of the economy, the people would believe their stories.

President Mahama said such lies would not yield any positive results since Ghanaians who had seen the numerous projects of the NDC were the best judges.

Therefore, he said, the NDC was not perturbed by the refusal of the opposition parties to recognise the numerous development projects since the party was convinced that Ghanaians would give it another mandate in the December 7, 2012 election.

President Mahama said the next phase of the ‘Better Ghana Agenda’ would see the improvement of road network , guaranteeing quality education and the construction of more school buildings, dormitories and clinics.

He, therefore, asked the people to give the NDC the mandate to be able to execute the projects to propel Ghana’s socio-economic development.
