Of the number, only 70 are women, representing a paltry 8.75 percent, a development the party’s General Secretary, Johnson Asiedu Nketia describes as ‘unfortunate’.

Speaking on Peace FM Tuesday, Asiedu Nketia said the party was, beginning today vetting aspirants in the Eastern, Upper East, Central and Upper West regions. Vetting teams are already in place in those regions to kick in the process.

Aspirants in the Ashanti, Northern and Western regions will have their turn on Wednesday, September 23. The Volta and Greater Accra regions will be vetted on September 29 and September 30 respectively.
