NPP: Jeff Konadu elected as NPP Chairman

Jeff Konadu has been elected as the new Chairman of the New Patriotic Party in the Eastern Region.

From Koforidua, Haruna Yussif Wunpini & Pacome Emmanuel Damalie reports Jeff Konadu Addo polled 424 votes to beat his closest contender, Kwadwo Boateng Agyemang, who is also the New Juaben North Constituency Chairman who secured 202 votes.

Frank Appiah surmounted the challenge from  Oteng Adu and Paul Amaning to win the Second Vice Chairman position with 313 votes, while the other two contestants had 296 and 112 respectively.

Tony Osei Adjei had 498 votes to win the Regional Secretary position when he beat Buckman Akufo, who also polled 130 votes.

Assistant Secretary went to Nana Yaw Papin who secured 328 votes, against Felix Osarfo Marfo and Ofori Atta with 195 and 104 votes respectively.

Also the Regional Organiser position went to Jerry Osei Poku who obtained 545 votes while Opoku Acheampong and Ahmed Yussif secured 57 and 27 votes respectfully.

Mr Adamu Musah Raha secured 230 votes while Mr Aaron Donkoh and Agorku Wutah had 200 and 197 respectively.

Mercy Amo Darko beat the incumbent Women's Organiser, Fati Vondolie after she polled 331 as against 297.

Twum Berimah was elected unopposed as the First Vice Chairman while Bernard Kumi Larbi was also elected unopposed as the Regional Treasurer.

Hassan Mohammed Fadilu Fafana also went unopposed as the Regional NASARA Coordinator.

'Breaking the Eight'

Addressing the delegates after the victory, Jeff Konadu urged the newly elected executives and the outgoing executives to work together and at the same time forge ahead in unity to ensure victory in the 2024 elections.

He said the victory was a call to duty, hence, members of the party should not sleep but work hard to make the Eastern Region which is the party's stronghold more stronger.
