Mr Sarpong who is the current Managing Director for State Housing Company also presented some items such as mats, ablution cans, bags of sugar and an undisclosed sum of money to the Imam at the Kaase mosque to help them during the fasting period.
He appealed to security agencies, particularly the police, to allow political parties to submit the names of members of their election task force for accreditation.
This, he said would enable the police to know who is where at what time as this would help in the identification of people who foment troubles during the polls.
He said it was practical for all political parties to form election task force during general elections and dispatch them to the various polling stations during the polls.
According to him, accrediting the members will help educe the incidence of violence during the polls since the police would have the information of the people dispatched to the various communities by the parties.
For his part, the Imam of Kaase Mosque, Sheikh Mohammed Sualch, expressed appreciation for the gesture.
