Johnson Asiedu Nketia, Gen Secretary of the NDC

NDC ready for Saturday's primaries, except if Jesus returns... - Gen Mosquito

The General Secretary of the National Democratic Congress, (NDC), Johnson Asiedu Nketia has said that all is set for the party’s parliamentary primaries to elect parliamentary candidates on Saturday.

The only impediment, he joked, would be if God asked that Jesus’ promised return is due on Saturday, otherwise the party had done all that needs to be done.

Voting on Saturday will commence at 7am and close at 3pm, he told Adom FM Wednesday morning, explaining that there was no need extending it to 5pm because the numbers of voters were not too huge.

He said the party had agreed with all aspirants to open specific polling stations in every constituency, unlike in national general elections where voting takes place at all polling stations.

Asiedu Nketia said however that for some areas with “geographically difficult” terrains, all polling stations will be opened for voting.
