According to the Chairman of the party, Mr Kofi Portuphy, the NDC could only win the 2016 general election with a united front.

He said although the party was in power, it was confronted with a number of challenges, for which measures must be put in place to ensure its one-touch victory.

Mr Portuphy made the call when a member of the party from Kwahu Atibie Asikafo Ammantem, Mallam Mohammed Musah, donated three double-decker refrigerators worth GHc7,500 to the party in Accra on Thursday.

He added that all party faithful must join hands to move the nation forward, stressing that it was only when they were united as a party that it would reflect on the nation.

“The NDC has put the government in place. President Mahama is NDC and when we are united, it reflects on the nation,” he said.

Mr Portuphy lauded Mallam Musah for thinking about how to help the party in his little way and urged other supporters to emulate the good gesture by assisting in their little ways to ensure victory for the party.

Presenting the items to the party, Mallam Musah said he had been helping the party at the constituency level in diverse ways over the years because he had the NDC at heart.

He added that as the 2016 general election drew closer, he decided to contribute his widow’s mite to facilitate the operations of the party.
