The committees are disciplinary and conflict resolution, zonal mobilisation, organisational, communication, youth wing and women’s wing.

The members have been tasked to campaign to retain NDC in power during the 2016 general election.

Speaking at the inauguration, Mr Adams said it was not just another fanfare but an important activity to ensure massive victory for the NDC in the upcoming presidential and parliamentary polls.

He called on the rank and file of the party to support the fight to build a better Ghana to transform and change the lives of the people.

Touching on development, the NDC National Organiser said the NDC government had done it all, but it was working very hard to achieve the maximum.

Mr Adams stated: “The more we worked hard to keep the NDC government in power, the more development projects we will bring to the people to raise their living standards.”

He added that the Ajumako-Enyan-Essiam Constituency was blessed to have Mr Ato Cassel Forson as the Member of Parliament and urged the constituents to remain focused and continue to marry him and President John Dramani Mahama, so that the development they were looking for in the constituency and, for that matter the district would surely come.

The Deputy Minister of Finance and Economic Planning and MP for the Area, Mr Ato Cassel Forson, said the inauguration of the working committees comes with a great responsibility for members and party supporters.

Mr Forson said the district had seen tremendous development since he was elected as the MP for the area and was optimistic the NDC would win more than the 15,000 votes in the 2016 general election to return him and President into office.

He enjoined the people to come together and work harder than before to help change the history of the district.

For his part, the Central Regional Communication Officer of the party, Mr Kwesi Dawood, asked members of the working committees to intensify their publicity on the good works the NDC had done to attract more support and votes for the party in the 2016 general polls.

The District Chief Executive for the area, Mr Peter Light Koomson, entreated the members of the party not to listen to what the New Patriotic Party (NPP) was saying because their objective was just to condemn the good things the NDC was doing, which would bring votes to the party, and urged them to give confidence in the NDC.

In a welcome address, the Constituency Chairman of the party, Mr Kobina Kwansah, said the NDC would soon go into battle to contest the 2016 general election and whether rain, shine or storm, President Mahama and Mr Ato Forson would win the 2016 election decisively.
