NDC communication team member injured

Unconfirmed reports had it that some NDC supporters, on hearing of the attack on their member, were preparing to move to the radio station to deal with Mr Adoye.

According to Mr Donkor, he was on the political programme dubbed ‘Democracy’ with Mr Adoye and other panelists on the night.

At a point, he alleged, Mr Adoye accused President John Mahama of benefitting from the purchase of the Sakumono Estate which he (President) occupied in 1992.

According to him, he intervened to say that in 1992, President Mahama was not a Member of Parliament and as such could not have benefited from the said purchase.

Mr Donkor said in the course of the argument, Mr Adoye slapped him and went ahead to use a chair to hit his neck and on the hand.

As confusion arose, security personnel came in to save the situation after which he was rushed to hospital where he spent the night receiving treatment.

He said on his discharge from hospital last Sunday morning, he made a report to the Police Striking Force in Kumasi who were investigating the matter.
