LGS honours Akwesi Oppong Fosu
He said staff of LGS was happy that he was being sent to no other office than the Ministry of Local Government where he would have over sight responsibilities of the LGS.
Mr Dasanah said the LGS would offer him all the necessary support for him to succeed in his new task.
Mr George Sarpong, Executive Security of the National Media Commission (NMC) who attended the function said, he was excited about Mr Fosu’s call to a higher officer and thanked the LGS who shared the same compound with them for allowing the NMC’s programmes.
Professor Kwamena Ahwoi, Professor in Governance at GIMPA and the longest serving Minister of Local Government and Rural Development on behalf of the council, management and staff presented a Kente cloth and native sandals to the minister.
Present at the function were Mr F. N. Andan, Chairman Local Government Service Council, Nana Agyekum Dwamena, Executive Secretary, Management Service Directorate, OHCS and Mr Michael H. Attipoe, Head of National Commission on Culture.
