Leadership is not about politics---Dr Rawlings

Doctor Zanetor Agyemang Rawlings, a National Democratic Congress (NDC) aspirant for the Klottey  Korley Constituency has said that leadership is not about politics but the promotion of the economic empowerment of the people to enable them to prepare for community development.

She noted that, “in all situations when one represents the interest of the whole constituency, policies and programmes would have to be in their best interest to reduce poverty and also eliminate ignorance”.

Dr Rawlings, who was addressing a community based organisation called “Holland Ladies” at Osu and Adabraka Additrom, all NDC members, said she would use her experience as a doctor to help the youth, elderly and women to grow up with a sense of obligation to the communities to enable them to develop their talents”.

“You don’t begin by telling the people what you would do for them, adding that, there are so many things to think about and sort out and I pray that I get the nod come November 7 “.

She urged the NDC supporters to concentrate on things that would move the party forward, stressing that, a close collaboration between all factions was vital for development at the constituency level, hence the need to sensitise the delegates before the elections.

Margarette Wellington, a former Assemblywoman for Additrom Electoral Area, urged the NDC supporters to bear in mind that, a vote for Zanetor is a vote for the implementation of more development projects in the constituency.

She cautioned the people of Klotey Korley not to deny themselves the opportunity to elect those who would represent their interests ensure good governance, if they fail to exercise their franchise.

She called on the delegates who would be attending the primaries to vote massively for Dr Zanetor to champion the cause of development in the constituency.
