The budget proposes a revenue of GH¢3,988,819.71 and expenditure of GH¢ 3,797,052.36. Voting for the motion was unanimous.

In his maiden speech before the vote, the newly confirmed Kadjebi District Chief Executive (DCE), Mr Jacob Alebinde Asogonnde, called on the assembly members to approve the composite budget and fee-fixing resolution for the assembly to raise revenue and spend on development projects.

Mr Asogonnde commended the assembly members for confirming him as their DCE and called for their co-operation to pursue the Better Ghana Agenda to develop the district.

He mentioned his commitment to improve the lives of the people through ensuring agriculture development, quality education, good health, proper nutrition and security.

In his welcome address, the Presiding Member of the assembly, Nana Kow Hayward Yaidoo, announced that the budget was to move them from the current dormant economy and unemployment into a progressive industrial one.

"Such a leap will only require a realistic transformation of our mindset, policies and programmes," he urged.
