JB Danquah-Adu’s death blow to democracy - PPP
The Progressive People’s Party (PPP) has described the death of the Member of Parliament (MP) for Abuakwa North, Mr J.B. Danquah-Adu, as a blow to the country’s democracy, an incident which has also exposed the security situation of the country.

The PPP stated that it was very disturbing for an MP to lose his life under such bizarre circumstances.
It has, therefore, expressed its deepest condolences to the family of Danquah-Adu, who met his untimely death at the hands of some unknown assassins at his residence last Tuesday.
‘’We send the same condolences to the larger family, the New Patriotic Party,’’ a release by the National Secretary of PPP, Mr Murtala Mohammed, stated.
Security services
The party implored the police and the security services to expedite investigation to bring the perpetrators of this heinous crime to book.
‘’It is our hope that the police will not be distracted by the political machination or political commentary that will seek to score political points or otherwise,’’ it stated.
The PPP appealed to the police to treat this crime professionally in order to expose the perpetrators.
‘’It is worrying the police have not given us much comfort in the past in their ability to resolve such murders.
“Criminals are getting away and the police must act to assure the citizens of our security,’’ the PPP declared.
