Jake Obetsebi LampteyThe National Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP),  Jake Obetsebi Lamptey has denied selling a bungalow he bought from the government for $5 million dollars.

Jake was reacting to news reports to the effect that he had earned $5million from the sale of the bungalow, which the reports said he purchased for Ghc400, 000.

An NDC Communicator, Dela Edem, made reference to the reports on Peace FM Thursday, adding that Jake failed to pay utility bills when he living in the bungalow.

However, Asamoah Gyamfi, an aide to Jake, described the claims as false.

He told Accra-based Peace FM that there was no way Jake could have sold the bungalow because it was currently being occupied by Nii Lantey vanderpuye, a deputy Minister for Trade and Industry.

“How can you sell a bungalow that is being occupie?” he queried.

Asamoah Gyamfi also denied Dela Edem’s assertions that the NPP National Chairman did not pay light and water bills when he was occupying the bungalow.

He called on Dela Edem to apologise publicly to Jake for bringing his name into disrepute.
