IPP Opens Nominations, Fixes Sept 29, For Congress

 

The Independent People’s Party will hold its national delegates congress in Kumasi on Saturday, September 29, 2012.

Key highlights of the congress, expected to be attended by 2,400 delegates across the country, will be the election of the party’s flag-bearer for the 2012 polls.

It would also be used to elect national officers including the Chairman, General Secretary, Organiser, Treasure, Women’s Organiser, Youth Organiser as well as the Chief Evangelist, who will operate as the Communication Director.

The Electoral Commission, early this year, issued a final certificate to the IPP to enable it to operate as a fully-fledged party.

The IPP has pink and white as its colours, with a desktop computer in the middle of a circle as its symbol. The party’s slogan is “Yenko nkoaa”, to wit, no retreat.
