Speaking to Citi News,the PPP General Secretary, Kofi Asamoah said the EC’s excuse was a poor one.

“Dr Afari Gyan himself says he’s not against e-voting and actually confirmed the fact that it simplifies the voting processes, makes it easy and transparent,” he stated.

Mr Asamoah further stated, “his only problem is lack of education so if we live in a country where we have identified the problems, the only thing to do is not to lament about it but provide solutions.”

“We can educate voters, political parties and the EC’s own employees so that in the next four years, everybody knows that we are going to do e-voting,” he added.

“Let everybody bring up any reservations they have and let us correct them. You don’t need to know how to manufacture mobile phones and laptops before using them,” he added.
