Mr Hayfron said to make computers accessible, the government had engaged a communication firm, Rlg, to assemble computers in Ghana here and appealed to Ghanaians to patronise locally made computers to encourage the company to produce more.
The MCE urged teachers who were not computer literate to take advantage of the computers provided for the schools to become computer literate.
He urged the schools to take good care of the items to make them last.
Mr Bartholomew Kwame Ofori, the Municipal Director of Education, appealed to teachers and heads of schools not to make the computers decorative pieces but allow pupils to have a feel of them. - GNA
