Nhyiaeso MP awards scholarships to 300 tertiary students

The New Patriotic Party (NPP) Member of Parliament (MP) for Nhyiaeso, Dr Stephen Amoah, has awarded scholarships to 300 tertiary students in the constituency to support their education.

The gesture was to offset part of the beneficiaries’ school fees and ease the financial burden on their parents and guardians.

Dr Amoah also donated computers to the J.A. Kufuor Senior High School and the State Experimental Basic School to enhance the teaching and learning of Information and Communications Technology (ICT).

In addition, each of the nine assembly members in the constituency received 30 streetlights to improve visibility and security in their respective electoral areas.

Speaking at the presentation ceremony in Kumasi last Monday, Dr Amoah said more than 1,200 students had benefited from his educational support programme since he assumed office in 2020.

He explained that the initiative was part of efforts to promote human capital development by ensuring that more young people pursued higher education or vocational training to improve their livelihoods.
