Former Peoples National Convention (PNC) presidential candidate, Dr Edward Nasigri Mahama has picked up nomination forms to contest the party's flagbearership position.
Dr Mahama who spoke to Citi FM confirmed speculations of his comeback.
The former flagbearer, who led the party into three unsuccessful polls previously will be competing with Hassan Ayariga, Michael Osei Bonsu, David Apasera and Bernard Mornah for the party's presidential slot in the 2016 general elections.
According to Dr Mahama, party faithful appealed to him to return and pick the presidential nomination forms.
He said the rank and file of the paty besieged his residence several times pleading with him to come back and lead the party.
"The 16 years I led the PNC, I led it for them. Now they are calling me and if I don't come back, it means I did it for me. Because at that time I was offering myself but now they are saying come and I wont turn my back on my followers", He said.
