According to them, despite their hard work and contribution to the NDC party, they have been neglected.

The concern was raised when the leadership of the Ekwow Spio-Garbrah Fun Club visited members of the Zongo caucus in Cape Coast South constituency to interact with them and to present donations on behalf of Dr. Spio-Garbrah.

The Gesture

They presented 10 bags of rice, gallons of cooking oil and cookies.

The Cape Coast South constituency chairman of NDC, Mohammed Muftaow Sako, who received the items said the Zongos would not allow themselves to be taken for granted.

He cautioned the NDC party leaders not to underestimate the Zongo communities.

He thanked Dr Spio-Garbrah Fun Club for remembering the Zongo people especially during their fast.

Aide to Mr Spio-Garbrah, Mohammed Nasiru explained that the donation was to support the caucus after their fast on Wednessday.

Zongos Remain Backbone

According to him, the Zongo communities remain one of the backbones of the NDC and stated that the party would not do anything to destroy the relationship between the party and them.

He assured them forwarding their concerns across and appealed to them to continue to support it and pray for NDC's victory in the 2016 general elections as they fast.
