Don’t drag Mahama into Anas’ expose’- Adams tells critics

The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has cautioned against what it terms as deliberate attempt to drag former President John Mahama’s name into the ace investigative Anas Aremeyaw Anas expose’ on Ghana football titled: #Number 12.

“No amount of concoction, no deliberate attempt to draw in former president John Dramani Mahama and NDC into this will save our president in the expose” the National Organiser of NDC, Kofi Adams had said.

There has been a report that GFA boss, Kwesi Nyantakyi told the police Forensic Financial Unit probing the allegation against him that Mr Mahama’s foreign investor friends gave him (Mahama) and the NDC $8m to fund its 2016 campaign.

But in an interview on Accra based Joy FM, Mr Adams described the allegation as concocted lies.

“At this moment I do not know and the NDC will also not know whether truly kwesi Nyantakyi holds that in his statement. If he did it is a clear concoction of his but having been caught on video soliciting money for President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo and his vice president let me fight a way of roping in ….”

.He stressed that Nyantakyi would have exposed the former president long ago if the allegation was true because he is a close friend of the president.

“There is a video there showing that this is kwesi Nyantakyi, saying that “I am a very good friend of the president”. That has not been denied, that kwesi Nyantakyi is a very very good friend of President Akufo Addo. It has also not been denied that he has supported Akufo Addo severally”

“It is also a known fact that Kwasi Nyantakyi himself have said for the eight years that the NDC was in power from 2009 to 2016, he, together, with his GFA was like hell for them. So how Kwesi Nyantakyi did not reveal this to his friend and all of the sudden this is the time that he finds it convince to says that his business friends that he cannot even mention their names is a Sheikh. So you have business partners, take you are taking 5 million for the president and three million for the vice president and you do not know their name of these business partners?
