The Chief of Staff, Mr Julius Deborah has stated that the December 7 election is not a contest for the most violent political party but a competition of the party with the best track record and achievable manifesto.

He has consequently urged the youth of the country to assess all the political parties and vote for the one that will secure their future and provide them with prospects for life because no amount of violence can change the will of God, adding that it was obvious that the National Democratic Congress was far ahead of all other political parties and hence the obvious choice.

Mr Debrah was addressing some youth and zongo community leaders at Agona in the Afigya Sekyere East Constituency as part of his four day tour of the Ashanti Region.

He cautioned the youth to be wary of politicians who would want to take advantage of them to cause trouble for their personal gains.

Jobs

Mr Debrah explained to the people that with solid and unprecedented infrastructural development put up in the first four years of President Mahama, the stage was set for more jobs to be created in addition to those generated through the construction of the infrastructure.

He said with the infrastructure provision and those yet to be completed, the stage was set for the country to move into industrialisation especially with the private sector taking advantage of the enabling environment to create the needed employment and wealth.

Business Forum

Earlier, as part of the four-day tour of the region, the NDC team organised a business forum which attracted businessmen, captains of industry, organised groups and the clergy in the Golden Bean of Kumasi.

A deputy Minister of Communication, Mr Ato Sarpong took the participants through the NDC manifesto,  especially in the areas of building a strong infrastructure in the energy,  road,  education among other sectors and the prospects these investments have for the country.

Other speakers included Prof Kwamena Ahwoi, Mr Kwame Peprah, both ministers in the Rawlings regime and Madam Faustina Nelson, a member of the Complaints and Conflict Resolution Committee of the NDC.
