The Chiefs of Lambussie Traditional Council in the Upper West Region have expressed satisfaction with the re-alignment of the Ministry of Chieftaincy and Culture to the present Ministry of Chieftaincy and Traditional Affairs by President John Mahama.

“Indeed, this will give a clear focus and complete attention to chieftaincy and tradition, two closely related aspects of the African institution of chieftaincy. Indeed, the chiefs of this traditional area are ever prepared to collaborate with your government on all matters that chiefs must play a role in to bring about the development, peace and unity of the state of Ghana,” a statement from the chiefs indicated.

The statement was signed by the Acting President of the Lambussie Traditional Council, Kuoto Salifu I Dy-Yakah.

The statement congratulated the President on winning the 2012 presidential election.

“Mr President, we are proud of you. We wish you very well and God’s guidance in this highest office of the state. May the Almighty grant you patience, courage, godly wisdom and peace to be able to govern the people of Ghana to prosperity in the Better Ghana Agenda,” the statement added.
