The postponement follows shortage of election materials for the parliamentary election.

Briefing Graphic Online, the Bosomtwe District Electoral Officer, Mrs Ernestina Owusu-Banahene said although there were 3,504 members registered in the constituency, ballot papers for the presidential votes were 3,850 while the parliamentary ballots were only 2,300, representing a shortage of 204 for the parliamentary.

She said apart from the shortage of the parliamentary ballot papers, there were no extra ballots to take care of spoilt ballots hence the need for more ballot papers to be brought in to support the exercise.

Mrs Owusu-Banahene said she reported the issue to party headquarters which promised to make the remaining ballots ready by close of day Saturday so that the election can take place on Sunday.

The two contestants for the parliamentary primaries, Madam Veronica Antwi-Agyei (District Chief Executive for Bosomtwe) and Dickson Manu have been duly informed to prepare for the contest tomorrow.
