Bawku polls peaceful, says Divisional Police Commander

The Bawku Divisional Police Commander, CHIEF Superintendent Tefutor Kaletsi has dismissed rumours in the area that some groups of people were caught with weapons.

He told the Graphic Online that as far as he was concerned everything was under control in the national primaries of the National Democratic Congress.

When contacted, the Bawku Central Constituency organizer of the NDC, Mr Bielbiel Sumaila said everything was going on as planned.

There are about 16,000 eligible voters in Bawku Central constituency. The candidates contesting are the incumbent MP, Mr Mahama Ayariga, a former Bawku MCE Mr Musah Abdulai and Mr Ibrahim Dory, a road and building contractor.
