His motivation is to bring on board knowledge and core competencies to get the empathy and mandate of Ghanaians to win Election 2016.

“I am inspired by our party's democratic credentials in our quest for development in freedom,” he declared in a statement.

According to Mr Amankwah-Sarfo, the NPP had gone through very trying moments and “we seem to have had a checked path as we seek an opportunity to serve the people of this great country. We have been denied many occasions to serve the people of Ghana.”

He said the NPP was, undoubtedly, a party with the requisite governance strategies capable of alleviating the many challenges that faced our country.

“We have many men and women within our ranks who possess the needed competencies to drive Ghana's socio-economic advancement,” he stated.

He said Ghanaians were yearning for an excellent governance for the country, and the 2016 elections presented another opportunity for the party to work together to win and serve.

According to Mr Amankwah, the New Patriotic Party was at a crossroads, and that “we require a team of pragmatic leaders to help enhance the electoral fortunes of our party in order to win the Election 2016; I come with a three-tier approach for the 2016 elections, along with a strategic programme of “All Get Involved,” should I be elected by our dedicated delegates as a national vice chairperson.”

He said the three-tier approach was unity, effective communication and strategic planning and implementation.

“Effective political communication would be the second tier to be suggested to our party hierarchy for adaption and adoption,”Mr Amankwah-Sarfo said.

He added that a comprehensive, well-resourced and concerted strategy for effective communication would be required to win the 2016 elections.

He also suggested his willingness to implement new contemporary political strategies along corporate structures and principles. He added that “Election 2016 must have a different approach. I wish to bring on board professionalism in our party's campaign management that is devoid of sentiments, acrimony and rancour”.
