Adwoa Sarfo, Prof Yankah, Brian and Gyiele sworn in as Ministers

The President, Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo on Tuesday evening sworn four additional Ministers of State into office, to bring the total number of approved ministers to 60 out of the proposed 110.

The remaining 50 nominees, all of whom are deputy ministers designate are still going through the approval process by Parliament.

The four who were sworn in Tuesday are Ms Sarah Adwoa Safo, Minister of State at the Office of the President responsible for Public Procurement; Mr Brian Acheampong, Minister of State at the Office of the President; Dr Nurah Gyiele, Minister of State at the Ministry of Agriculture and Prof Kwesi Yankah, Minister of State at the Ministry of Education responsible for Tertiary.

On behalf of the ministers who were sworn in, Ms Adwoa Safo who is also the Member of Parliament for Dome Kwabenya in Accra thanked the president and pledged to serve to the best of their ability.

President Akufo-Addo said the four new ministers would be good team players in ensuring the collective commitment that the New Patriotic Party (NPP) has made “to provide an honest, competent government for the people of Ghana”.
