“We cannot eat our cake and have it,” he said, adding that the country could not continue to subsidise petroleum products and be able to provide the needs of the citizenry.
Mr Quansah urged Ghanaians not to see the increment as an act of insensitivity to their plight.
He said even the developed countries went through similar stringent economic measures and urged the citizenry to exercise patience and give the government time to fix things for the benefit of all.
The MP appealed to Ghanaians not to politicise the increment in the prices of the petroleum products because it is in the best interest of the nation. - GNA
