Cheeky alligator crashes students' picnic lunch - and then helps himself to sandwich
But they were both surprised when, after setting down the picnic blanket and getting out their food, an alligator suddenly strolled up alongside them.

After eyeing up their spread, the cheeky reptile snatched up one of their sandwiches - although thankfully that was the only thing that got eaten during the bizarre incident.
A bystander, who was taking pictures with his family, quickly turned his phone towards the alligator to capture the moment on camera.
Michael told NBC News that he estimated the alligator was approximately four foot long and admitted he shouldn't have been surprised to see one of the reptiles in the area.
He added: "It's Florida so most people are used to seeing them come out and stuff, especially in Gainesville.
