The items, valued at gh¢150,000 included various sutures, endotracheal tubes, POP’s, protective clothing, medical grade face masks, face shields and other medical consumables.

Presentation

Presenting the items to the hospitals at separate ceremonies in Accra, the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of UHG, Mr Frederick Amissah, said the items would aid the hospitals to provide the needed care for patients at a time most facilities were helping the fight against the spread and management of the coronavirus in the country.

He appealed to other industry players, corporate bodies and private individuals to support medical teams and facilities across the country, as the government and the Ministry of Health (MoH) alone could not carry the burden.

Focus on UHG

According to him, the company over the past 30 years expanded its portfolio to include high-quality offerings from specialist designing, building, training of critical staff, equipment installation and maintenance.
