Ms. Odom stated that Unitylink was an indigenous money transfer company founded by a Ghanaian entrepreneur by name Douglas Mensah to serve the Ghanaian communities in the Diaspora and that “Our close relationship with our motherland dates back 26 years, helping Ghanaians to transfer money to their loved ones through our relationship with local banking partners”.

The Head of Renal Unit of KATH, Dr. Kodwo Eyeson, who received the machine was grateful for the gesture and said the equipment would aid in the establishment of a laboratory for the unit.

“We want this to be a major springboard towards getting a laboratory for the unit. It has come at an opportune time. We have a great number of clientele who share laboratory with other patients from different units,” he noted.
