‘Go for routine spine check-up’

The Operations Manager of Chiropractic and Wellness Centres, Mr Philip Reimmer, has urged the public to routinely check their spine for  their health status.

Accordin to him, doing that would allow smooth and easy flow of nerves through muscles, increasing flexibility in joints, and relieving muscle tension.
“The lifestyle of people, including sitting, walking and sleeping can undermine their health in the long run. Therefore, it is required for you and your household to check your spines, making  sure you are living free from hidden spinal nerve stress, he explained.
Chiropractic adjustment is when a chiropractor applies manipulation to the vertebrae that have abnormal movement patterns or fail to function normally.
Chiropractic care
Mr Reimmer was speaking at the centre’s Chiropractic Celebration Day, an occasion aimed at educating the public on the benefits of chiropractic care and true wellness as well as making the service accessible.
He underscored the need for workers, particulary those who sat for long hours, to be wary of their sitting posture because it affected their spinal chord.
Chiropractic professionals
Mr Reimmer said management of the centre would build an institution to train chiropractic professionals in the country.
That, he said, was necessary because most doctors of the centre left the country during the Ebola crises and some could not return,” hence the need to train locals.
